Have you ever thought what might be the smallest precast product in the world? We found it out with the Red Cross, one of the largest global development aid organizations. The product is called “latrine”, a common and easy sanitation solution widely used in developing countries.
Latrines are built of a precast plate, sheltering walls and a hole in the ground. They play a critical role in improving the hygiene and health of families and communities. Local artisans have skills to build the latrines by their community requirements.

At BAUMA 2013, Elematic is joining the Red Cross to supply 400 latrines to improve life of 2400 people. Our goal is to collect 400 hand prints during the fairs. Join our community project, Precast for Life, and leave your hand print at our BAUMA stand B1 313/414.
